"If you were to write a book about your life with him, how would it end?"

The question made her pause, her eyes zoning in on the text that was sent by her best friend. She knew what he was implying. She knew Hoseok was never a fan of him, that he was trying to prove a point. A point that felt like a sharp sting in her chest, even when she knew he didn't intend it to... or maybe he did.

Her hands paused over the keyboard of her phone as she thought of the reply. Each sentence she wrote, and then deleted. Hoseok watched the typing dots appear and disappear multiple times before they stopped, and no reply was sent, and he sighed in defeat.

At the end of the day, she knew their book was messy and that the first accidental I love you was the beginning of the end. The book was still being wrote, yet she could foreshadow the conclusion. To save herself she'd close the pages before that happened, even if that meant an unfinished book.

Even if that meant no happy ending.
