This is a collection of short stories that make up one big story, once it is finished. There will be holes, but they eventually will be filled.
The story follows seven teens as they are forced to grow up early and rise to the occasion by becoming the leaders of their freedom base when all the leaders and many civilians are murdered.
Will they be able to guide their people to safety or will they crumble under the pressure and get their people killed?

Teachers have gave out an odd stupid plan to set kids up with younger students. Every man for himself, doesn't quite suit the teachers ideas, even if most will die within the first week. But, being forced to, teachers put together groups of 6, 1 teacher, with a group of kids, and taking 3 JK/SK students with them, from the elementary side of one of the 3 schools that occupy the large vast of land. When Alex is placed in her group, she knew it was going to be hell. But she doesn't let that overrule her. She knows she must do everything in her will to keep the little ones alive.
