🏆 Round 1 Winner - OPEN NOVELLA CONTEST 🏆 She falls. One moment, she's weightless, bathed in light, belonging to the sky itself. The next, she is plummeting, her wings failing, the world rushing up to meet her. And when she lands, it is not on stone or earth, but in the arms of a boy with kind eyes and a heartbeat steady enough to tether her to the world. Silas never believed in miracles. He never expected one to fall straight into his arms. But when Elya crashes into his life-lost, otherworldly, and achingly human in the way she looks at the world-he knows he can't let her go. As the days slip into weeks, Silas teaches her how to live as a human. Elya teaches him how to love like one. But the sky is calling her home. And Silas is only mortal. Love was never meant to be enough to hold back heaven. Was it? ----- Written for ONC 2025 Prompt 135 - ❝She really fell from the sky and landed right into my arm, I'm not even lying❞ ----- Cover by @devarsh_yagnik
