In a dystopian future of America, there is an event taking place every year in which 12 boys and 12 girls are chosen at random to fight to the death in what they call "The Hunger Games." Following a young, confident boy who is reaped to participate in the games, he is surprised when this year turns a wildly different direction. Although his origins give him a slight advantage, an unfolding secret has brought itself when he leasts expects it.
