Ever hear about Angels and Demons? Of course you have. You know, big white wings, fighting the little imp guys with horns and silly tails? Good versus evil? Bah, you're too indoctrinated to understand...

Flip the damn rules. Angels are the enemy, we're the only ones doing anything about them trying to enslave humanity. The demons are actually, guess what, the heroes. We're protecting you and your free will.

Except the Angels are finally fighting back, which hasn't been seen in Eons, they've been content to sit in the clouds and count souls. Now they're trying to pierce the walls between realms and retake the Earth. They won't go down without a fight, but that means we need more numbers. Recruitment was never my thing.

Anael is your average, mom-gave-me-away foster baby. Living with her single foster dad, she never expected to be randomly set on fire in the middle of day. That's when her demonic origins were revealed to her; Her mother was also named Anael, except she was the Demoness of Lust. Therefore making the blood of a demon run through her veins, she is declared a Devilspawn and her own take her in to train her to aid in the soon to be war against the invading Angels, who are leaking into the human realm one by one, seaching for the Black Manuscripts, pages of spells that could break down the barriers of the realms, allowing Angels to flood the world but also causing all kinds of horrible, dark side effects.
