Which is why she was relieved when her father went missing 5 years ago. Just like her big brother encouraged her to. His life was ruined because of hunting, but her life doesn't have to. 
But that Ill-fated dream is squashed when her brother stops returning her phone calls, and 1 week later, Dean Winchester, a childhood friend who she hasn't seen for 6 years, breaks into her apartment and tells her that the disappearance of her brother and both their fathers is all somehow connected to her.
