The virus came from Eastern Equestria, it is resistant to moisture. It dies in frost/temperatures below 0°. It develops rapidly, visible symptoms appear on the body in the second stage of infection. The virus destroys the pony from the inside, destroys hair and organs, causes hallucinations and causes great pain. The cure has not been discovered. The virus passes through blood/saliva/genital tract and through inhaled pollen (only in the second type of disease)

It was spread by dust from the flowers of the EverFree Forest (it is not known where the disease comes from)

The second type of Inside Rot Virus can be recognized already in the first phase of infection, ponies turn pale, hooves darken and become harder, ponies begin to vomit blood and over time the hemorrhage intensifies. In the second phase, ponies lose their eyesight and experience severe hallucinations (for your own safety, do not approach them), a tendency to attack, and sensitive hearing. (Brake bones)

In phase 3, the pony no longer has any contact with the world, it is dead and the virus carries it. The organs are completely destroyed and the virus is slowly starting to leave the body.

Phase 4 - there is nothing left of the pony, the body begins to rot and break into pieces itself.

Type 1 disease can be cured but requires patience and good medicines that are difficult to obtain.

Princess Celestia fell ill and transferred the Virus from the east during a meeting with other rulers. After being infected, she decided to leave, thinking that she would not infect anyone (she failed). The princess left and her place was taken by Princess Luna as queen. Due to exhaustion and too many responsibilities, she couldn't look for a cure herself, so she called Twilight to do it.
