The village blames Naruto when he returns without the last Uchiha in tow. A mistake on Sakura's part causes Naruto to act rashly and flee the village- just his luck, his relatives are looking for him. Uzushiogakure is making a comeback, and they need a kage- and they'll make one out of the scrappy, jumpsuit-wearing blond knucklehead.

The Leaf never recovered after losing their resident knucklehead. Nearly three years later, a legendary village resurfaces- with a familiar face at the helm. The Leaf and the Akatsuki both had better prepare to be taken by storm, because this is one maelstrom they won't be able to avoid.

But hey, at least relations with Sunagakure are at an all-time high.
