He stared back. "I did."
Their teammate grinned. "Yeah! All three of us. Team Seven, back together again. No more separating. If we're going to beat this, we have to do it together."
He looked back and forth between the two most important people to him, his family, if there was ever a use for the word. He smirked. "Alright. Let's do it together, then. Team Seven."

Beside him stood his team, along with Team 8 and Team 10-minus Neji-and finally, Team 7, with that insanely troublesome blond and his even more insanely troublesome idea. Their jōnin sensei stood with them, along with their extra teammate, Sai. The four Hokage stood a bit farther off, deep in discussion-no doubt debating this insanely sane plan. What the hell am I doing agreeing to this? Shikamaru sighed. Then sighed again when he realized-he'd do anything for that troublesome blond. His troublesome blond. He sighed once more, resigned.
