Robert Frost said it well, "Nature's first green is gold", and at this age I wonder if I can return to the beginning when everything was green and gold. Would you like to take that journey too? The only thing I knew as my ankles felt the wet, mourning hands of my heavy pain, beneath everything, a small part of me wanted to stay alive. There was a piece of my sore heart that yearned to remember what home felt like. I did not belong here in this darkness. If I didn't take this chance to learn who I was, who I could be, if I didn't choose to step forward, the haunting eyes chasing me I'd carry in my spine for the rest of my life. This answer, it's question lingered. Could I embrace what has hurt me most and let go of my hatred? The woman on fire, she was so beautiful in my unyielding stare. The sheer panic in my eyes swallowed by contorting rings of liquified gold. My answer? Yes. I was going home.

Introduction In March 2013, following the completion of From Within The Shadow, I reached the point of feeling and being like I'd found my way out from within the shadow. With each step it felt like I was opening like a flower: Blossoming, growing stronger, taller, daily. Pushing outwards, the seeds, to attract the honey bee, like a chest being puffed out. Petals like eyes, seeing the world, feeling the wind, the sun, the rain. Dancing, strutting, feeling a part of the world, stretching outwards to reach my full potential. Sweeter memories can now be found as all the tangles have been unwound and freedom is now the path for me and with my new eyes the world I see.
