Lance McClain, lead singer of the band Voltron, is preparing for three months of touring when their opening band drops out a week before the first date. His manager finds a replacement, the Galra, led by singer Keith Kogane. The two competitive boys immediately start a rivalry and must find a way to get along for the sake of the tour.
