Cole never thought the place he hated most in the world would be where he met the person he cared the most about. That was until he met renowned vlogger Kai when visiting the hospital his mother passed away in. Kai always felt lonely, stranded in the hospital. He loved writing about a faraway world called Ninjago though, which had always been a welcome distraction from his cancer. When he met Cole, it was like life had meaning again. Beautiful things can happen in unlikely places. (I only own the plot none of the Ninjago characters and this is basically a AU) Cole is the alpha of his pack and has lived in luxury his whole life though he isn't one who hasn't had hurt in his own way. His pack is the most powerful one in the world and he's one of the most feared yet fair leaders of the werewolf community that took up most of the world besides some human villages and towns that stick to their human selves except for one night a year. Every end of summer each town offers female humans in towns squares between 18-30 for werewolves to see if they are the mates of any werewolves and were only to be taken if they were the mate and only the females are offered. Cole has no mate and he needs a Luna too help him rule his pack because he can't do it alone and it's starting to weigh him down a little. So what does he do when he does meet his mate, but it's nothing like he suspected? Kai's a orphan with his little sister his mother and father were killed by rogue werewolves during a attack and topped with the possibility his only family might be offered to one like a slave. Well he grew a deep hatred for them and everything they were. When Nya turns eighteen she's sent as one of the offerings while he's in the church. But scared of loosing his only family he vowed to protect he snuck out of the church to stop his sister from being taken like so many others. But what happens when he gets caught by one of the werewolves, but doesn't die?

But Kai doesn't think of her the same way as everyone else does; he knows that there's more to the supposed cold-blooded killer she is- especially when he makes a surprising connection to something dear to him. But when other forces above the assassin makes their move, everything just get ten times more complicated for the ninja and Kai. Most stories have happy endings with love and peace. (May have huge gaps between upload times but this story will be finished, that I can promise) Everyone thinks of Kai as a selfish person who puts himself before others and many other negative things. As Kai's time as a ninja, he always heard these comments and he couldn't do anything about it so he has to bottle his feelings whenever people say this. One day when he was on a mission with Cole to save some adventurous that got stuck in a narrow cave a disaster struck on Kai. After the mission Cole got all the thanks and Kai got none, Cole was the only one who truly understood what happened. Kai gets sick of how he is being treated and leaves to have a walk to take his mind off of things... but then he meets someone he didn't expect to meet... Non-canon ships are not implied but take it as you wish, just not greenflame because no.
