Another tear fell from his eyes, rolling down the constellations on his freckle-dusted cheeks to add to the small puddles at his feet. Those eyes, the beautiful hazel eyes that I had fallen in love with, were empty of their stars. As his breath hitched on another sob and he bit his trembling lower lip, I realized that I had done that to him; I had stripped his eyes of the stars that sparkled in them whenever he saw me, I had ruined what he felt - what we both felt towards each other.
I had hurt him, and I wanted so badly to tell him why. I wanted to tell him everything, but that would hurt him even more. That would 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘺 him.

He raked a shaking hand through his hair as his body, vulnerable, trembling as he sobbed, slid down the wall to sit on the floor.
Giving me his heart was a mistake, and as I gazed down at the broken pieces shattered on the floor around me, I knew it wasn't a mistake because he was naive, too sweet, too easily trusting.
I knew it was a mistake because of 𝘮𝘦.
