Jaune birthday was probably one of the worse day he ever. Parents aren't coming back due of the Vacuo thunderstorm, his sister are all still busy with their jobs except for Saphron, but then he become a laughing stock at his old school. Having enough of this crap he decided to forge his path by joining Beacon even if his parents don't approve. Later in Beacon where the team were giving to do community service to help the locals, Jaune and his team help the science facility that have experimental material.
