This story is about a man named Xicor and his unlikely friendship with the dreaded Callisto. One day while wandering through the forest, Xicor encounters a battered and bloodied, Callisto, who just barely escaped with her life intact after enduring another battle with Xena. Callisto immediately collapses right in front of Xicor and she is taken back to his home where she has her wounds attended to. Upon waking up and knowing of her past, Xicor tries to reach through to Callisto seeing she's not entirely a monster and can let go of her resentment towards Xena. Callisto fears letting go and becomes conflicted with Xicor's compassion towards her. Is Xicor right? Can Callisto change and lead a peaceful life? Or will her hatred and lust for revenge against Xena be too great to overcome?
