Dakota's life had always been one filled with pain. Ever since he was a little boy and getting bullied at school to getting kidnapped and used to help "make the world a better place." His kidnappers forced him to endure painful testing, and he was never the same years later, physically nor mentally. Now the facility he called his home is abandoned and overgrown, the bad people gone. Dakota's life finally starts to feel tolerable. But the tests forevermore changed him and his entire being. After his emotions get the best of him, his life is once again at the mercy of others. Secret groups who wish to treat him like a guinea pig and bring him back to a civil way of thinking. The government who wish to see his capture, retesting or possible execution. And people of his past who make Dakota question what is real and what isn't. Will Dakota be able to get a hold of himself and find a way out of this mess, or will his feathers forever be stained crimson? THIS IS MY FIRST STORY, SO OF COURSE ITS GONNA BE "A BIT" CRINGE. CHAPTERS WILL VARY ON LENGTH. SOME WILL BE SHORT, SOME LONG. THERE IS ALSO NO UPDATE SCHEDULE.

"She's right! She's right! I don't cut in the right spot." My hold tightens on my wrist. The red blood oozes out of my wrist. I slide up and grab my bag and run out of the bathroom. I don't care if people can see the blood I just want to get out. I race for the doors and shove through people. I earn a lot of glares and glances that read "weirdo." I ignore and push. I run to my house and lock myself in my bathroom. I don't bother closing the front door cause I don't care if people come in to kill me. I grab my razor and cut deep cuts into my arm and wrists falling into a pool of my own blood. • • • Evangeline has a great life. Friends? Check! Good grades? Check! Loving family? Check! Don't say I didn't warn you. Okay, I wrote this at the start of this year (may 2016) and I had very poor writing skills. This book hasn't been edited and the whole idea is cliche so I wouldn't recommend you read it but I'm not stopping you, either. Read at your own risk. • • • Copyright © 2017 by -moonlust.
