'dying /ˈdʌɪɪŋ/ adjective on the point of death.' Dying. That is the word, Olivia James, would use for the current situation happening to the whole world. The world that she and her family knew has been ripped apart from them. They find themselves on a old family friend's farm. A few months after everything goes to shit, a man wearing a sheriffs uniform runs up to the house holding his injured son. Then his friend comes up just behind and then during more of his group arrive. Can the family learn to trust this group? Not a Perfect Family
"Is that a damn dog?" Merle asked Daryl, who had paused to light a smoke stopped, just before the lighter touched the cigarette. Looking towards the house he sees the familiar white and black speckled fur, stained with red. "Son of bitch." He hisses, the lighter and cigarette hitting the ground as he raced to the house. Merle was confused but was fast on his brother's heels, they bust into the house and found it was quiet besides the sound of dishes clattering in the sink and water swishing. They share a look before entering the kitchen, there they spot their sister. Aspen stood at the sink with her back to them, washing dishes as their father sat at the table eating and drinking. Merle stayed in the doorway of the kitchen, watching his younger siblings as Daryl approached their sister like she was a spooked fawn. Daryl kept his voice gentle as he spoke "The hell happened?" She didn't face him, didn't make a sound, but he noticed how she scrubbed harder at the pan, chipping some of the coating. "I shot that damn dog." Daryl faced his father, anger settling in his gaze "What?" Updates every Saturday or Sunday. The sun beat down on my dirt covered face, making my skin feel tight. The ropes burned my skin as I struggled to get my arms free. The screams from the other women seemed to last for hours, then silence. I knew that the dead would come for us soon. (How did I get myself into this situation, and how am I going to get out?) Think, Leah, you have to survive this, think hard. I could hear them coming in the distance. There's not much time left. The others had faded away, and I had to use them to save my life. What has my life come to?- was my thought as I pulled layers of skin back from a girl I had only known for a short time. Her name was Carly with short blonde hair and sky blue eyes. "Thank you, Carly, for helping me," I whispered as I smeared her blood on my face. I began to feel weak. How long has it been, and how long can I survive?
