Amour: Your Shadow Before Mine is the sequel book that continues and finishes the story that was once previously being told in its first book. This anthology is the completed version of Amour, including 14 poems. The anthology begins with its previous title list ending with the new additions entitled; "Your", "Shadow", "Before", and "Mine". These 4 poems were written from a more modern version of me, whereas all the first 10 poems were written from a younger perspective of me. I am very excited that these poems could see daylight since 'Amour' has always felt a bit uncompleted to me. It was a very interesting experience to explore my past work, venturing back into my younger self's eyes to write these 4 poems.
With the release of this sequel, I also chose to release "Will we ever learn? (extended)", a poem which was originally shortened for 'Amour' since I wasn't at most comfortable to at first. This poem was one of the first I've written for that anthology, which played the role of the opening title for 'Amour', now it extendedly closes this story. Finally, I think these 5 poems could finally lay this story to rest, both cautiously and beautifully.
Being able to publish this sequel brings me joy. I really and truly hope you love, appreciate, and can positively relate to my words written.
Now to you, I give, Amour: Your Shadow Before Mine, it lurked every darkened hallway awaiting you!
