Pebblenose looked around the clearing he was in, the familiar rocky hills Duskclan was known were replaced by a thick forest. The sky above was pitch black, not a single star could be seen.
The sound of birds flying echoed through the forest as a crow landed on the branches of a tree.
And then another one.
And another one.
Soon, a flock of crows surrounded the medicine cat. He took a step back as rustling could be heard from a bracken, and a small, weak wolf cub came out of the bush.
The wolf fell down on the ground, and the crows quickly flocked to it, pecking its flesh until it gave out and eating its insides.
As much as everything is his body told him to run, Pebblenose could do nothing but watch the horrifying scene go by. The crows suddendly turned to him, which caused him to take some more steps back, breathing rapidly.
He heard various voices whisper to him, though they slowly blended into one singular, straightforward message.
"Don't let the crows destroy her from inside."

Fernpaw lived normally in ThunderClan, until the cruel Foxstar took over. She can do nothing to stop Foxstar's power into tricking her, but notices that everything around her goes horribly wrong. On top of that drama Leopardwillow still has to save her clan from whatever danger lies ahead-little does she know her stubborn apprentice might be the cause for all this chaos... He is strong and independent, but his morals quickly change when he is visited by the most hated cat in all of the Clans. ***DISCLAIMER*** The time gap between Chapter 7 and Chapter 8 is literally a YEAR, so, I must warn you that the cleanliness of Chapter 8 and onwards completely emulates the first seven chapters of this book. I certainly don't think that they are BAD, but I am definitely going to fix them up once I've got more time (just some little grammar tweaks, updating plot points, and fixing some dialogue). So, just keep that in mind when you read this. I hope you still enjoy!
