Long ago, in the beautiful kingdom of Atlantis, there lived a king and his fifty children. Of all King Alfred's children, however, six of his daughters were renowned for their musical talent. The youngest, Leilana, dreams of life beyond the sea... And with the help of a sea sorcerer, Arthur Kirkland, she just might get exactly that.

A Hetalia/Little Mermaid crossover. Sorry for the lame description.

Tension between mermaids and humans had always been high, especially after the queen of the mermaids had been killed by humans, regardless that it was an accident. So many years later when Princess Muriel becomes curious about humans, she keeps it to herself. Muriel lives in a castle with her father, sisters, and best friend, Percy. Some of her sisters blame her for their mother's death so Muriel avoids them when at all possible. She gains an interest in humans and trails after their ships. For humans, mermaids are bad luck so she knows that they won't attempt to harm her. The first time Prince Philip steps foot on a fishing boat he witnesses the crew catch a mermaid. Although terrified, he moves forward to help untangle her as no one else is moving. He prays that she'll forgive him. Worry forms when she takes a lock of his hair. Was that a way of marking him? Regardless, he doesn't fight, not wanting to make it worse. Worry increases when she's spotted again. Muriel begins to develop a crush on Prince Philip after he frees her from the net. When her sister's displeasure with her grows worse, Muriel seeks to avoid it. In a desperate attempt to do so she finds herself cave of the sea witch Minerva. Philip's kindness remains prominent in her mind when Minerva offers her a choice to be a human. Hesitantly she agrees, unaware of how different the human world from hers. Philip's bodyguard begins to catch on that Muriel is different and Percy and the king quickly become desperate to find her. My own version of "The Little Mermaid" by Hans Christian Andersen. Used to be called, "Mermaid Wish." (Magic in this world works differently than in my series, 'Tèarmann Chronicles')

This is a new fairytale for me to write about. Just to let you know, it's not the little mermaid genderbend. You can read or add my story to your reading list. Just please don't steal my idea. Thank you. Started; 01/30/2023 Finished; 02/06/2023 Plot; Princess Lucia is a seventeen year old girl who lived with her mother and father. The king and queen. She has a twin brother named Lucas. Little that she doesn't know, her brother try to get rid of her due to envy. He was younger than her. Lucia was being appointed to become the next queen for the kingdom. The royal guards ambushed the princess and took her away to the witch's house near the ocean. The two white witches agreed to help the princess for her desperate plea to return to her home castle. And stop her brother for his act of disposing his only twin sibling. The two white witches told her to take a swim in the sea before leaving. Before Lucia tries to get out of the water, she was suddenly transformed into a mermaid by the two white witches. There are two ways to break the spell before her time is up by the next month. If Lucia gets a kiss by the merman, she'll be a mermaid for all eternity. If the princess gets a kiss from the prince on land, she will be human again. If not, she will be lost in the world of water. Will Lucia see her family again as a mermaid? How is she going to reach them if she can't swim as a mermaid? Princess Lucia was new to be a mermaid. Book Two of the "Home" series. "Don't be scared, Tael. Things might look bad but they will get better. They always do." "But how can you know for sure?" "Because I just do." Some of you might remember Alice Carlea Jones, sometimes known as Melina Andrews. Well, she got married. She has three children now, too. And someone, or something, is trying to kill her. They want to tear her life apart as well as her family. Everything that is happening is connected in a strange and disconcerting way. Perhaps not even her uncle's vast knowledge of magical phenomena can save her. She has to find out who or what it is that wants to kill her, and for what reason. And, eventually, find her way back home again. Preferably all in one piece, but there aren't any guarantees anymore. "There is work to be done, Alice. You're needed elsewhere." CanadaxOC, EnglandxOC, AmericaxOC, ScotlandxOC, RussiaxOC, PrussiaxOC, and possibly a few other various OCxOC pairings I'll throw in later on. Things are a little iffy in the planning, but then again they always are. Hetalia AU(s) Rated PG-13 for swearing, some suggestive themes, a character death, and too much awesomeness for your own good. BAH, read at your own risk. Feels will be crushed, revived, and crushed again in a never-ending cycle. Sorry, that's just how I work. And you'll enjoy yourself, I promise. Hetalia is owned by Hidekaz Himaruya, I own nothing I reference/use! All I possess are the OCs, the plot, and the work it takes to create this story.
