They're the American Mafia...
and he's their head doctor

-----------

Noel
I hate mafia romances.

They're so unrealistic, with the swooning main character, a big fight and an ending love scene. Usually, one way or the other, the heroine gets hurt. They're rushed to the mafia doctor, who is given a glare and a promise of death unless they 'fix' the main character.

After the main character wakes up, the doctor is forgotten and an ending love scene begins.

Like, come on guys! Why'd you forget the DOCTOR!

No "congratulations", no "thanks for saving my life", no "hey you did what you were promised so you get to live".

Nope. Nada. Nothing. Zilch.

Now why do I care so much about this?

THAT'S BECAUSE I AM THE DOCTOR!!

I work as a mafia doctor-unwillingly- and I'm ready to get out. But how come the mafia leaders bodyguard is so attractive ....

Nixon is the 3rd book in the Broken Series. (Ryan is the 1st, Brynn is the 2nd) Nixon leaves rehab early because he can't deal with being there anymore. His sister Kelis finds someone in need of a roommate so he moves in with the girl and gives her his middle name, Lucas. He quickly becomes addicted to the girl and once he gets one taste he's done for. He warns her about his past, about his name, but she ignores all the red flags, not realizing exactly how intertwined she is with the people from his past. He becomes enamored with her, feels like she was made for him while still battling the demons of his past and soon it all becomes too much for him to handle. He makes a heartbreaking decision, thinking it's what's best for both of them and everything changes.
