Kensi Marie Blye is a normal 32 year old woman. She works with NCIS Special Projects. She is first-date-only girl. She lost her father when she was 15. She married a marine with PTSD. He left her. She lost him too. She is used to being alone.
She liked being alone.

Martin Andrew Deeks is a normal 36 year old guy. He works as a LAPD liaison officer at NCIS: Los Angeles. Love has never done him any good. His father abused him and his mother. When he was eleven he shot his dad. He loves surfing, and he takes everything a little too lightly. Everybody at LAPD hates him for his annoying and light personality.
He liked being alone.
