SPOILER ALERT: do not read this story if you haven't finished watching The Artful Dodger, 'cause this is a sequel:)

It's been a month since the Governor and his family, including Lady Belle, left Port Victory. Jack and Belle are no longer together because they realized that their worlds were too different and that it wouldn't work out no matter how hard they tried.

But now a special girl named Brielle Everly Greywood has arrived all the way from London. And while Brielle may seem like a beautiful young lady, she has a darker side than people might expect from her.

Or should I say: a more thieving side..?

Jack and Brielle want nothing to do with each other at first, but that soon changes when they discover they have more in common than they ever would've thought.

TRIGGER WARNING: this story will contain strong language and a little smut.

She's barely keeping it together. He's got his life under control-at least, that's what he tells himself. Together? They're like a fire and a fire extinguisher-completely incompatible. Aisha Patel didn't exactly leave India for a quiet life in a small American town. She came for a fresh start, but being a people pleaser has a way of messing with your vibe, especially when you're trying to juggle a demanding nurse job, a noisy neighbour, and a firefighter with a big ego and an even bigger commitment phobia. Justin Callahan? Yeah, he's the guy who thinks he's got life figured out. Volunteer firefighter, keeps things casual, definitely allergic to anything resembling a relationship. He's also lowkey obsessed with making fun of how Aisha says "chutney"-which is probably the one thing she hasn't been able to let slide. When their paths cross in the worst way possibhello, car park disaster-these two are basically a walking, talking disaster zone. trying to keep it professional and chill. He's trying to act like he doesn't want to set her hair on fire (in the best way, of course). But after a little too much banter, some unexpected moments of vulnerability, and a whole lot of chaos, they might just discover that there's more to each other than meets the eye. Can they get through the baggage and find something real? Or will this be just another spark that fizzles out before it even gets started? Either way, it's gonna be one hell of a ride. cover by : @DezzyC_5972

~"When are you going to do what's best for you Sadie? All you ever do is what's best for Hallie and push your own wants and needs to the bottom of the pile and let it hurt everyone else in the process."~ Sadie Taylor has been back in her hometown for 6 short months. After leaving 11 years ago, it's fair to say that her life now is a 180 spin on the free innocent teenager she left as. With her 9 year old daughter, Hallie, in toe, Sadie needs to find a new kind of normality where se can release the reins of control and learn to let go a little. She's more than happy taking things at her own pace. Hoping that if she moves slow enough, she can keep her and her daughter in their own little bubble that has kept them safe all these years. But with the arrival of a familiar stranger arriving at Black Oak Ranch, things are set to be more complicated than she'd been counting on. Ryder Matthews fucked up and he knows it. 11 years ago, he left the love of his lie in some pre-college life freak out and when he returned 3 years later, she was gone. After spending the better part of 14 months travelling the world in hopes of finding some kind of meaning to life outside of the little town where every turn is a burning memory of Sadie, he returns with no hope. He's stuck to deal with his consequences. A week after his return home, Ryder heads to Jack Taylor's ranch to get his old farm hand job back. When he steps out of the car, a 9 year old girl greets him and when her mom comes to see what the fuss is all about, he's met with the last person he thought he'd ever see back in Alcombey. Let alone with a child. Ryder and Sadie have a lot of baggage to unpack if they have any hope of being able to tolerate working together. But when his heart is still beating for her and her heart is locked behind solid concrete walls, is that even possible?
