When Martyn was fifteen, he saw his first crow. The two stared at each other for a second- the bird's beady black eyes versus Martyn's green ones- and then the crow tipped its head, spread its wings, and flew off.
Not long after, Martyn's mother came down with a sudden illness and passed away.
Ever since then, Martyn's been traveling the land. If a crow shows up in the place he's in, he leaves as quickly as possible. They mean misfortune, he's puzzled out, so he shouldn't stick around when they're near. He doesn't want to get caught in the crossfire, after all.
He hasn't ever been all that good at doing what he should, though.

What We Could Have, Where We Could Go

Hybrids of all kinds, monsters which roamed the night, creatures everywhere! I could go anywhere, do whatever I wanted. Nothing could stop me!! That was until I came across these little villages and my mother always told me to stay away from them. "They see us as something wrong. They'll hurt and torture you, so promise me you'll stay away from them." My mother told me. I never thought much of it, but it always made me curious what was there. - Scott gasped as he realized he was late. This was his big day, he couldn't fail his parents by skipping. Scott ran towards the forest and banged into the wooden shed, grabbing the bow and satchel of arrows before dashing out to his post. The forest floor crunched beneath him and he panted quietly as he kneeled down. A twig snapped and Scott gasped as he saw bears and lions surround him. Scott shot at them and the arrow hit one of the lions, which all started to chase him. Scott screamed for help as he ran, trying to get out. Trying to find others who could actually save and protect him. ~•~ Scott is a hunter, who is actually a big scaredy cat and longs for a life different than the one he has, and Jimmy is a free bird who can do basically anything he wants. It all changes when Scott and Jimmy meet. Hybrids end up showing up more, some getting captured and hurt. After Scott realizes how bad his life is, he tries to make a getaway and Jimmy shows him the life he could have. (Cover art is not mine) This work belongs to me, @Seth189. And Jimmy :) Jimmy gets thrown into the middle of this, not knowing what to do or who to believe. He actually ends up debating leaving all of his friends to look out for himself. He pounces on Iskall, his teeth finding their throat, shredding it in an attempt to get as much blood as possible. The last thing Iskall sees before it all goes dark is the moon, huge in the sky, the image of Mumbo leaping from the woods at him, burned behind his eyes. or, The server's vampires go feral during season 8 and attack people. The people they attack die and don't come back for some reason. The non-vampiric hermits race to restrain their vampiric friends well trying to find a way to bring the ones they killed back.
