"You think I give a shit about everyone else in Prythian if it's your life on the line?" Azriel snapped. Eclipse's eyes watered and she looked away in frustration. Azriel reached forward and grabbed her chin forcing her to look at him. Eclipse's breath caught in her throat at the intensity of his stare.

"If it's you or Prythian, I will light the fucking fires myself and burn it all to the ground."

"Az-" she breathed softly staring into his hazel eyes.

"No. I waited 500 years for this, for you, and if you think that I will ever be okay with spending one Cauldron damned second of this life without you from this point forward, then you are sorely mistaken." He stared deeply into her eyes. "If you.. Mother.... If you die Eclipse there's no fucking point to anything. Mate or not you are the light of my life. Nothing makes sense without you, it's all just blood and shadow without you and I can't, I won't go back to that. So if you go, then I'm following right behind."

What if, hear me out, but what if Rhysand's sister hadn't been the youngest of his blood relations. What if, before her death she had been married off to the heir to the Day Court? What if they had a daughter? Born somewhere in between the day and night, a bridge between the courts. Powers from both. An affinity to control the light and dark, an intuition so keen she had never been wrong a day in her life, an affinity for magic and spells so strong she could rival her father, known by many names. The Warrior Princess, the Candle in the Dark, Daydreamer, Eclipse; Spell Weaver.

They called her the Mad One long before she ever broke. Born into the Night Court with the mark of the Cauldron glowing faintly over her heart, Nerai was never meant to survive. Her father's cruelty forged her power; his torment made her silence infamous. By five, she could command air with a glance. By six, she'd accidentally killed ten courtiers who mocked her mother. By ten, her name was spoken only in whispers - a warning to children of what happened when gods answered too loudly. But Nerai was not mad. She was merely awake. And when war came for her family, it was not death that claimed her - it was the Cauldron itself. Drawn into its depths, her body vanished, her memories stripped away. The Night Court mourned a daughter lost to legend. Centuries later, Prythian trembles. Magic fractures, and silence spreads like a sickness across the courts. The whispers begin again: the Mad One walks. A woman with white hair and silver eyes emerges from the ruins of a forgotten temple - calm, otherworldly, powerful enough to unmake reality with a thought. She does not remember who she was. But the Cauldron does. When Rhysand sends Azriel to trace the strange magic devouring the land, he finds what no one believed possible - the High Lord's sister, alive, unaging, and changed into something beyond mortal or fae. And as the world begins to unravel, one truth becomes clear: the Mad One has returned, and this time, even silence may not save them.

Gwyneth had always felt connected to her faith, a higher power presiding over her. That faith had shaken that devastating day those years ago, the day that went on to haunt her every nightmare for years to come. She's still trying to come back from it, to not only restore her faith in life and love, but her faith in herself. The sanctity of her spirit- she prayed for resolve. Every punch was a prayer. Every mile was a hymn. Until her knuckles bled and her knees gave. Azriel had been surrounded by darkness his whole life, a poison on his world, on his being. He exercised restraint in his every waking moment, banishing that darkness within himself. Some guessed of the strain it put on him, but no one knew the extent of it, how deep his scars ran. It was better this way, he was sure. He had always thought that if there were a higher power- which he wholly doubted- such deities must loathe him to have burdened him such darkness. He hadn't much faith in the gods anyway, much less faith that he could sway their opinion on him. But Gwyneth and Azriel did have one thing in common: the quiet fight within themselves. They only knew one way: to go about it alone, couldn't fathom letting another in. But there's a magic in finding someone who is your equal but opposite, something transforming. And frankly, Gwyneth and Azriel could both use a little magic. All characters owned by SJM in the ACOTAR series. Story takes place after the events of ACOSF. Aligns with the events in my other fic: A Storm of Flames and Deceit. I haven't finished Crescent City, so this story takes place outside of the events of those books as well. Awoken in a new body, a star is surrounded by a world that she has to learn to manage, in order to survive. A world that she helped stitch together in the first place. The star fights tooth and nail every day, heartbroken. Never again to see her true family. Until her mate and her lock eyes, and everything makes sense once again. Or when, Penelope is the one to fight the war, in order to get back home to Odysseus. *✧・゚: *✧・゚: (Book 1 of 2 in the Heaven series) *✧・゚: *✧・゚: The soft click of heels was the only thing heard in the House of Wind. The silence was much needed for Soraya after a night of partying with her family. The Fate had kissed her mate on the cheek and told him she was leaving for the night. He had asked her if she wanted him to join her, clutching her hand securely, but Soraya shook her head softly. The High Lord had watched her leave, with a faltering smile on his face. Soraya opened the heavy double doors to her and Rhysand's private balcony. The air was warm as she watched people dance across the cobbled streets of Velaris. Fireworks went off every few moments, the people celebrating the highly awaited return of their High Lady. Yet Soraya couldn't find the joy in her soul. She took off her heels and laid her head to rest on the decorated railing. Looking above the colorful explosions, Soraya's eyes found three stars. Two shining brightly, one dimmed to the point she almost had to squint to see. It tore a bit of her soul in two, feeling it right in her chest. "What do I do now, sisters?" Soraya asked breathlessly, eyes closing in frustration. And for the first time in years, the Fate let a single tear fall down her cheek.

Bridgeton/Pride and Prejudice meets Azriel our beloved Shadowsinger and this author will tell the story of a Prideful noble lady and a spymaster who hates her. Azriel, the battle-worn Shadowsinger of the Night Court, has spent centuries in war and darkness. He has no patience for noble games, no desire for politics. But when Rhysand arranges his marriage to the infamous Jewel of Prythian-an effort to mend ties with the Spring Court and keep Azriel from dangerous affections-he is forced into a world he despises. Liora, daughter of the Dawn and Spring Courts, is everything he is not: a highborn beauty, the perfect courtly lady, untouched by war. To Azriel, she is spoiled, vain, and frivolous. To Seraphine, he is a brute-cold, scarred, and lacking any grace beyond the battlefield. Forced into marriage, they are trapped in a battle of wills, neither willing to bend. But peace in Prythian is fragile, and war is never far. Whispers of old enemies emerging from the shadows threaten the stability of the courts. As political tensions rise, Azriel and Liora find themselves at the center of a deadly game-where their union may be the only thing holding Prythian together. For beneath Liora's silks and diamonds lies a mind as sharp as his blades. And beneath Azriel's shadows and scars is a longing he never dared to name. Enemies by fate. Lovers by scandal. Can a warrior of darkness and a lady of starlight survive the storm ahead-or will their pride and prejudice tear them, and Prythian, apart?
