Healerless runs in Butcher's Canyon demand a shift in mindset. Forget the passive reliance on restorative magic. Embrace the dance of the dodge, the mastery of crowd control, and the tactical use of consumables. Imagine timing your rolls perfectly to weave through a barrage of arrows, or picture unleashing a well-placed stun that cripples a powerful mob, buying your team precious seconds to regroup. In this dungeon, survival is a calculated waltz with death, a tango where every step counts.

Beyond the Skills: A Tapestry Woven with Traits and Teamwork

Numbers alone won't carry you through the Canyon's gauntlet. Your equipment becomes your unspoken ally, a tapestry of traits woven to enhance your individual survivability and team synergy. Imagine your armor not just absorbing blows but also reflecting damage back at your attackers, or picture your weapon imbued with a life-stealing aura, replenishing your health with each strike. Every piece of gear, every chosen trait, becomes a brushstroke in the masterpiece of your self-sufficiency.

The Canyon Echoes with the Roar of Battle:

As you descend deeper into the Canyon, the whispers of danger grow louder, the dust swirling with the echoes of countless fallen adventurers. You face cunning mages weaving deadly spells, berserkers wielding axes the size of trees, and hulking abominations spewing venom with each roar. Each encounter is a test of your adaptability, your resource management, and your ability to read the battlefield like a weathered bard reading a score. But with each fallen foe, your legend grows, your confidence solidified with every expertly timed dodge and life-saving potion chugged.

TRA: Brothers Of The Scar by MrEppeak
15 parts Complete Mature
The God's of Xeno-movia have long died out, killed in the war of races against the Casarns, a brute like race that believed theirselves superior to the God's. Since the death of the God's man has taken up control of the world, dominating it's lands and sending the other races into hiding. The Dwarves hid in the mountains they so loved, the gnomes hid in the hills, the five beast races used large natural surroundings to hide away, the elves, what was left of them, hid behind their dark master's, and the orcs were banished to the scar for refusing to participate in the Gods war. Grall and Grodak, orc brothers born in the scar, had different ways of living. Grall, the younger brother, was born with the gift to speak to those of his tribe that had passed away, he became the chief of the tribe using the elders knowledge to benefit them. Grodak, the elder brother, never much cared to lead, he always preferred to create metal works in a forge. One mistake, that's all it took to force them out of their chosen roles and into another. Grall, the one who made the mistake, was banished from his tribe and forced to wonder the world. Grodak, the one who worked to fix the mistake the most and reclaim the honor that was lost, was made the new chief. Ten years later, the small mistake now hounds at the both of them as they make their way to Whitewater, in hopes they can fix the troubles they have. There they will meet Imp, a genius Dasari/Pyroniam, Adrian, a charismatic human who never backs down from a fight, especially when his friends depend on him, and Tyril, the king of Whitewater, who will send them off to find what they have been searching for this entire time. (REWRITING) The Skylar Experiment : Coveting by NoppityNope666
100 parts Complete Mature
"Three weeks. That's how long I got to have drama-free. I'm not sure what is happening to me or to Oakwood. Nothing's the same since I rolled into town and it just keeps getting weirder. Suspicious agents in suits roam the streets without an explanation. They're staring straight at me. The new Chemistry teacher is NOT who he says he is. I'm doing things I never thought I could. Like, mutant-level things... Lauren, Luc's dead twin sister, hid something from everyone. Something important that may have lead to her demise and that could lead to ours. Hunters are in town. I never knew four words could contain so much dread and terror. I'd rather deal with the Wanderers. I'm on the brink of a breakdown. I need help..." BOOK #2 IN THE SERIES! Ignorance is not bliss... In the wake of ridding Oakwood of Wanderers, other dangers come creeping in and they're somehow linked to Luc's absent twin. The past returns to haunt the mutants in inconspicuous ways. Riley's life is yet again in jeopardy, but this time she's not alone. Luc and his family are all thrown into the teetering balance. More secrets are uncovered. A trap dawns on them all. Invisible threats start crawling from all directions. Who is the real enemy? TW : behaviours of depression and PTSD are displayed. I don't name them, but one of the character will be struggling a lot. It may not be suitable for everybody. Other adult matters are briefly included, but nothing explicit or intense. Rewriting specifications : the main points of the story and end of the book will remain the same, am just going to change a few ways of getting there and adding some extra spice. Feel free to pause the read until the REWRITING sign disappears.

"Let's see how amazing this world is-the one I created in my past life." Leigh adjusted her sword. "No turning back now." Dominic sighed. "Yeah, yeah. Just don't expect me to carry both of you if things get rough." Arden chuckled. "You won't have to. This is our journey to immortality. We rise together." He smiled. The devil himself couldn't have crafted a more wicked grin. "What do you say we play a game, little Reaper?" I narrowed my eyes, trying to decipher his intentions. "What kind of game?" His grin widened, showing the tips of his fangs. I watched the prince curiously as he strode over to his bag. With a swift motion, he withdrew a bow and a quiver of arrows, flinging them at my feet without so much as a second glance. I furrowed my eyebrows, casting him a look of uncertainty. That sinister grin stayed plastered upon his lips as he said, "Run." *** I, Skyla Ashforth, am what some might call a "sociopath." It was a title that fit. Why shouldn't I embrace it? I am a vampire slayer, a Reaper of bloodsuckers, and an exceptionally good one, if I do say so myself. Yes, being a sociopath has its perks; I could manipulate and deceive with the best of them. So, when captured by the notorious Red Prince, I embraced the challenge of manipulating my freedom. Pierce Darcee, was a sadistic vampire with a God complex. The fool actually believed he could break me. Little did he know, I was the kind of Reaper who would dance through a battlefield, whistling a merry tune as I twirled my braids. I relished the challenge of manipulating his oversized ego, planning to stab that rotting, blackened heart of his with a venom-laced dagger. I crafted a scheme so delightful, so intricate, that I couldn't help but salivate at the prospect of victory. It was foolproof, or so my mind believed. But then... then there was that pull. That unexpected, unwelcome spark that ignited something within me. Feelings, of all things! Now, that was a complication. Disgusting, messy feelings that could very well lead to my destruction. Or his. It was a dangerous game we played, but then again, the most thrilling ones usually are. *Rated M for Murder, Mayhem, and some profanity. Sorry but no smutty interludes. You've stumbled into a blood bath, not a bodice ripper.*

What if their fight on the bridge ended differently, and Ekko was the one who lost? Jinx is faced with a choice; Leave her childhood friend to bleed out and die, or save his life. - Greetings, dear reader. Are you looking for a different ending to Jinx and Ekko's story? Are you intrigued about what could've been, if only things went a different way for them? You have come to the right place! That's what this story is all about. But I take issue with most Jinx x Ekko fanfics/timebombs either rushing their complicated relationship from 0 (Enemies) to 10 (Best Friends/Lovers), often ignoring crucial aspects of both characters that define their trauma and willingness/unwillingness to reconcile with each other. Jinx is an incredibly complex character. Expect this story to explore that complexity to its fullest. I've been inspired to attempt the impossible; Showcase the most realistic possible path for these two to find their way back to each other. Arcane is a show of tragedy brought forth by circumstance. Unlike most fanfics, this one will focus on a realistic take of what their relationship could have looked like, if at one crucial moment, things went a different way. In order to do proper service to the complex characters of Arcane, THE STORY WILL CONTAIN SOME OF THE FOLLOWING MATURE THEMES: - Descriptive Violence - Selfharm, Att./Suicide - Depictions/Examination of Emotional Trauma - Depictions of Psychotic Behavior - Minor Swearing - Additional but similar concepts. Feedback is welcome! Credits to Alexin on Pinterest for the cover art.
"Goodbye Curly Head" by NUmaker

Through thick and thin the Law shall prevail. A new sense of purpose awaits us, children of light, in the land where it all began. The darkness in which we once cowered in fear, now curbed by the might of our endless light. Come, brothers, come, sisters. Let there be peace among the wicked, just as the Law dictates. Peace and certainty is all that you have ever longed for, little angel. A bright, stable future. A roof without holes above thy head. Acknowledgement and recognition of thy existence, feverish dreams of grandeur. Greed born from yearning, treacherous vines of rapacity taint your innocent soul. You seek a future that does not exist. Let thy fingers hold the fragile line between dream and nightmare. Let thy light navigate the path. Shall thee give in and falter, O' land of old, envelop his body in thy unending flame of chaos. Spit out nothing but an empty husk, the remnants of a smile once so bright. Shall thee prevail, O', Great Kazdel, I ask of you, the impossible - take mercy on the innocent. Don't let the radiance dim and don't let the mind turn bleak. Wake, young traveler. Bid thy farewells and burn thy bridges. It's time to say goodbye, curly head. Cross post from AO3. For a shorter and more on-point description, look no further! I had something silly written up before throwing it out in exchange for that wall of text upstairs. It's a little story "about a young, dumb sankta who's been dealt a bad hand at life, looking for his place in all this mess. The pointless search for a better future leads him far, far away from home, to a country forever ravaged by war and misery - Kazdel, the promised land where devils roam free and peace feels out of place." Anyway, it's quite lengthy, but hopefully enjoyable? Slide a comment if you want, I'll give you a tiny kiss on the forehead. Man, do I love comments. (Lastly, to point out, English is not my native language, but I don't think it'll be much of an issue ;3)

"As far back as I can remember, I've been surrounded by water. The salt in the air even now makes it hard to breath, forcing me to squint. Sand clings to every inch of me, caking my pants and shoes. The wind from the ocean picks my hair up, sending it blowing back towards the multi-colored houses lining the shore line. *** 'Quinn, don't panic,' Lexi says through gritted teeth. She holds fistfuls of my shirt now, and I hear the rubber soles of her shoes squeaking. 'Too late,' I whine, grabbing the barbed wire in a last desperate effort to regain some balance. The razor sharp blades cut into my palms, making me jump again. Lexi sucks in air and loses her grip on me. I hold my breath and close my eyes, feeling the wind cradle me from all sides as I fall at about twenty-four miles per hour, considering the height of the wall and my weight. Now, I wish I was surrounded by water." South of Compound 4, another compound exists. Within the wall of Compound 5, children are trained and tested for perfection through the Intelligence Exam, a test that every student takes during their sixteenth year. Pass, and you stay within the compound. Fail, and you are sent to another compound. It's common knowledge that they are building a perfect population to remain when the rest of the world falls to the Virus. Yet, what happens when Quinn faces the threat of Compound 5, a short blonde girl whose name he can't pronounce, and begins to question everything he's ever been taught, pushing the limits of the system and his own comfort zone? When a student receives the compound's first ever perfect IE score, a storm makes its way in from the ocean. Can Q unravel the secrets held within the walls, or will he lead his family and friends to a war they can't win against a woman who seems to be triumphing against all odds? Selected is the sequel to Immune, found on my profile. Record Ranking: #25 in Science Fiction
