Eleanor Levine grew up in the Birlap palace, taking classes with Prince Arnold and Duke Daniel. But when her mother is plagued by an unidentified illness, Eleanor was to take her mother's place as a maid in the palace; no longer permitted classes with the nobility. 

Throughout the years Eleanor grew close with the Birlap prince, earning the title as one of his best friends. 

The two find themselves in a predicament when the Queen throws a ball for Prince Arnold's 25th birthday and to also announce the princess he's been arranged to marry.
