She gives the ninja trouble and always manages to knock them down to their knees on every encounter. But Kai doesn't think of her the same way as everyone else does; he knows that there's more to the supposed cold-blooded killer she is- especially when he makes a surprising connection to something dear to him. But when other forces above the assassin makes their move, everything just get ten times more complicated for the ninja and Kai. Most stories have happy endings with love and peace. Cole never thought the place he hated most in the world would be where he met the person he cared the most about. That was until he met renowned vlogger Kai when visiting the hospital his mother passed away in. Kai always felt lonely, stranded in the hospital. He loved writing about a faraway world called Ninjago though, which had always been a welcome distraction from his cancer. When he met Cole, it was like life had meaning again. Beautiful things can happen in unlikely places. ((Note)) I changed the story rating to Mature because another fic of mine with similar levels of content (mostly gore, mentions of sensitive topics and the like) is on mature rating.
