The Kingdom of Thivarryian is a prosperous place, entrenched in tradition and sheltered from the outside world by a protective wall of encircling mountains.
Kai Lira is a young ranger. Raised in a society that shuns foreigners, Kai has never understood how he came to prosper in a land where he was clearly an outsider.
Elandria Wehlin is a prodigy, achieving the highest rank of the Taelith Order at the age of twenty one. A feat unheard of in a Kingdom where magic is an art only a select few can master.
The day for them to pledge their loyalty to the Kingdom, their undying service to the Queen, has come.
A strange unrest is stirring in the land, but whether it comes from within or without the Kingdom, one thing is clear: not everything is as simple as tradition makes it out to be.
