After living what she thinks is the worst life ever, Cassiopeia Black is determined to make sure that Harry Potter's life is not as bad as hers.
She spends her days watching over him from afar, never revealing herself to him, in case he ever told anyone about her.
And since Cassiopeia is on the run from the Ministry for killing her mother and her son, being recognised is something she wants to avoid.

But when Harry turns 11 and learns about the wizarding world, Cassiopeia realises that she can't hide who she is from him anymore. She needs her godson to be prepared, before entering a world that views him as their savour.
But Harry is a magnet for danger, and Cassiopeia isn't sure how much longer she can continue protecting him, from the shadows, especially since she is a Squib who possess no magic of her own.

¤It is not in the stars to hold our destiny, but in ourselves. The love, life, and lies of Cassiopeia Vulpecula Rosier "The Dark Lord took a particular interest in me I couldn't have escaped his service if I had tried.... ...I must apologize, for I told a half-truth in the beginning of this manuscript. I beg for your forgiveness. Telling half-truths is so ingrained into my nature now from years of artfully crafted lies. I led you to believe that this story was about a girl. Cassiopeia Vulpecula Rosier. When in reality, it is the story of a boy too. Regulus Arcturus Black. For our lives were intertwined, and our stories one." ***I know mature content is not everyone's cup of tea. Adapted reading guide inside.***
