"Two sisters, both blessed in blood to save the people from the shadows." I recite, then look over at Blake, whose expression is blank. "Apparently, a long time ago, my great great, etc. something or other and her twin sister were both given this power over the spirit world, in order to protect their people. The power has been passed down to the women in my family ever since. Problem being it doesn't come with an instruction manual, and it works differently for every one of us. So maybe I'm this great savior, and maybe I'm a little less useful than a glorified cell phone for the dead. " He smiles at this. "Nice to know what other Hunters say behind my back, though." My turn to smile.
