The man went way after promising her, he will return soon after telling his family about her. But he never returned. The mermaid waits for him for and wanted to tell him that she was expecting their baby. The days become weeks and weeks become months....to years but he doesn't come back. Every nights she wait for him while singing. Eventually her patience runs out and she transforms from a mermaid to a siren after being deceived in love.
