Aslie, a part fae, was going to die. She knew this as she walked up to the stage for her public execution. No amount of begging to the Fae or the gods would save her. Until it did. Smoke spread beneath her and pulled her in, and what felt like a miracle was more like a deceptive dream. She was mated, with a year to fall in love with the commander of the underworld, but with the secrets and death coming their way, she might never fall in love with him the way he loves her. and it would kill him, and destroy his world.

"You killed my family, I can never love you." I shove him, and the smoke comes and when it disappears, he is gone like the coward he is.
