In Mondstadt, only two things could be the cuase of your death, Old age, or death by trial. Each year, tons of innocent girls and women are brought to stand trial before the church. These women are called "witches". The only way to test if one is a witch, is by burning them alive... The knights profited off of fear, so these trials were public and shown to innocent kids starting as early as four years old. Diluc tried to forget the screams of agony he had heard from his first trial... but he always lost the battle. One afternoon, after a very brutal trial, Diluc finds the "witches" cat. He takes in this cat and things start getting... strange...
