In this world, the realms of the world above and the underworld defy typical expectations of Heaven and Hell. The world above, though resembling Heaven, is actually a corrupt empire ruling over both the overworld and the underworld. The underworld, once free and peaceful, operated independently from the authorities of the world above. Unhappy with this autonomy, the authorities attempted several times to extend their rule over the underworld to no avail. Faced with desperation, they resorted to drastic measures, creating what is now known as "Amalgamations" and "the Amalga Disease." This affliction causes sinners to transform into monstrous beings, blurring the lines between holy and devilish.
To combat the "Amalgamations," the underworld devised a solution: they created Hunters. These individuals are sinners endowed with exceptional abilities and combat skills, tasked with confronting and battling the mutant beasts originating from the world above.
But it appears the Authorities are concealing something far more sinister, something that could tip the scales of this world's delicate balance...
