One Ride

"That was fun!" I said, brushing my hair from my face.

Trey nodded in agreement and we all laughed. "What should we do next?" he asked.

The other three of us shrugged. "I don't know."

Vanessa Knights, Trey Harrison, Eugene North, and Canada Durst are four great friends, all very smart, but constantly stuck in their own little world. Ever since kindergarten, they were pulling off the best pranks and coming up with the craziest, and sometimes, even the most dangerous activities. From sprinting freely across rooftops to having picnics in front of the White House gates at midnight, the four have done it, so consumed by the adventurous fantasy they created together that they were oblivious to the ongoing chaos around them.

One fateful night, the four came up with their craziest adventure yet: they plan the "trip of their lives". The four decide to take a road trip from their usual D.C. runs to the urban thrill of New York City. They take Trey's car and gather up a total of $500,000 cash, planning to stay in the city for a week and a half before returning home in time for their high school graduation.

The plan works out at first, with some encounters on the road and in the city, but when a terrible accident occurs, the four are drawn in and are forced to return home early. They try to resume their normal lives, but they soon realize they may have brought things with them from the accident--paranormal things. While fascinated with their newfound abilities, Vanessa, Eugene, Trey, and Canada have to be careful not to reveal themselves, before a series of events threaten to.
