Taking place approximately 4 years before the story of Stele and thereof the main story of RWBY. Dr. Arthur Watts has proposed to Gen. Ironwood the use of four special semblance Faunus which he believes would prove most useful for Atlas.
The hope that these four Faunus nobodies would be able to do what those known wouldn't be able to do. Off the book type things.
And if something were to go wrong, who would even care? They are nobodies after all...

Four years have passed since Team RWBY graduated Beacon and became world known hunteresses. Four years have passed since the White Fang have disbanded and the faunas race has become scarce. Fours years of peace have passed, until one day Torchwick have escaped prison. He wanted revenge on team RWBY, so he teamed up with Adam Taurus and Cinder Fall in order to revive the White Fang by recruting old and new members of faunas. With the revival of the new born White Fang, they will distroy Beacon and take over Vale. But what they don't know is that a newly formed team at Beacon is there to stopped their evil schemes. A team formed with a girl with teleportation, a boy with invisiblity, a girl that can never die and a girl of flames, a team that is formed with pride. Atlas was trying to come up with many solutions to the Grimm problem one such solution involves making a Portal and finding a New place to call home. Project Exodus was green lighted by Ironwood and tasked Atlas' leading scientists to pioneer such an endeavor but one scientist hated the ones Ironwood has chosen. Arthur Watts decided to sabotage the project, Pietro was in charge of overseeing the Portal while Jaune the lead Doctor/Scientist volunteered to be the first test subject. Once he step foot through the Portal he found himself on a Land called Terra he reports his findings to Pietro who happily asked him to come back to prepare for the next phase but Watts struck and destroyed the portal trapping Jaune in Terra. Trying to find a way back he offered his skills as a Doctor and Scientist to any who was willing to take him. Before she died you promised her that you would make a world where people and faunus's can live together in peace. She passed away after you turned 10. After you turned 12 your father enrolled you in Signal academy, you never interacted with anyone in signal and people made rumors about you because of that you didn't make any friends there. After turning 17 your father used his connections and recommended you to atlas academy but you argued that you wanted to be on beacon after a heated argument with your father you flew out to vale to clear your head. World of remnant, a world without magic, semblance or any grimm. Instead of that there are knights, kings, queens and obviously princesses and princes. But there is a legend that said: people with silver eyes were able to use magic. People were frightened of them and called them witches. Whenever they captured a 'witch' people burned them, so now there are no one left with silver eyes. In the kingdom of Atlas, ruled by its king, there are lots of criminals that knights can't get rid of. But one day a boy, or at least everyone thought that he was a boy, appeared out of nowhere. He wore a red cloak with hood that covered his face completely and had a giant scythe as a weapon. He called himself 'Red reaper' and was fighting against all the criminals. And there was 16 years old Weiss Schnee, second princess of Atlas. To tell you the truth she wasn't a scared little princess waiting for her prince in shining armor to save her, like in fairy tales. Summary: The story revolves around a team of 4 girls, Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna and Yang Xiou Long, as they live their lives training to become Huntresses in a world overrun by monsters that are fended off by Hunters and Huntresses. Soon, they learn to a millennia long war between 2 individuals and the secrets and history of the World of Remnant. Plot Summary: RWBY takes place in the World of Remnant, where humans, and half animals known as Faunus, are trained to become strong fighters and warriors known as Hunters and Huntresses in order to fend off menacing creatures known as the Grimm. Remnant is made up of the 4 kingdoms, Vale, Mistral, Atlas and Vacuo, the hunter training academies, Beacon, Haven, Mantle and Shade, a continent where the Faunus originated called Menagerie, various villages in the country and the dark areas where the Grimm are said to appear from. Humans and Faunus all have a force apart of their soul they unlock known as Aura, which protects them like a shield but can discharge depending on the strength used in battle. They also use superpower-like abilities known as Semblance as well as powerful handmade weapons in all shapes and sizes. It's impossible for people to have the exact same Semblance, unless it runs in the family. The story revolves around a team of 4 huntresses in training. Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna and Yang Xiou Long. Alongside their friends, they train to fight and learn how to protect Remnant, and soon learn of its history and a millennia long conflict between Ozpin, Beacon's headmaster, and Salem, a humanoid Grimm queen residing in the dark.Complete
