Busy day in and day out, he fed the mighty army and comforted the wounded soldiers, turning the military camp into a better place. The generals treated him as if they were meeting their parents who provided them with food and clothing. The only man who had brought him here wore a perpetual scowl, suppressing his anger. "I am the one you married, the one who drank the ceremonial wine with you, and also the one who shared the wedding chamber with you. Shouldn't you be looking at me?"

"Survivor's Guilt" isn't a thing when you find yourself the sole food source for an entire group of beings that no longer need to hide in the shadows. Man is no longer at the top of the food chain...they are now the cattle.
