Euphoria: A feeling or state of intense excitement and happiness.

'You're my addiction, darling. You keep me sane yet at the same time you drive me crazy'

~~

Elijah Deans had dreams of becoming an FBI Agent but his grades let him down and he was rejected from the Academy. During college he had taken up work however, as a pole dancer and decided that was probably his best option.

After almost a decade at The Black Rose, Elijah is contacted by a certain FBI Agent, David Rossi and asked to be an informant as many unsavory characters often visited the club. Elijah, of course, accepted this offer.

The one thing he didn't expect was being drafted into the BAU as an official Agent after helping them out with one of their many cases.

Settling into the BAU with his background would be difficult, but also trying to hide his past and feelings for a certain Doctor? Elijah was in for quite a bit more than he'd bargained for.

Lucielle Andrews thought for a good portion of her life, that she knew what her goals were. Graduate. Get married. Have kids. Be a better family than the one she grew up in. With her drug addict of a mother, and her sociopath of a father, her life was no where near easy. She wanted to be the mother her own never was, and marry a better man than her father was. That theory changed when she came home from school to tons of sirens, officers and medics. She was newly fourteen, and very confused as to why she wasn't permitted inside her own home. She never got to enter that house again. She was taken to the police station, and fell asleep in an officer's office chair that night. When she woke, she was told that her father was going away for forever, since he was guilty of six homicides, including that of her mother's. The FBI officers that had been at her house had told her this, and how they were gonna get her stuff and get her to her aunt and uncle, whom she never knew she even had. She was put on a flight to Virginia, and finished growing up there with her aunt and uncle. Once she graduated high school, she knew she wanted to go school for psychology, minoring in criminal justice. Her guardians thought the combination was odd, but she knew exactly what her plan was. Her plan was to catch people like her parents. And be the FBI agent to help out a child who was going through what she had. That's no childhood. Soon enough she'll be on her way to Quantico, but for now, an internship will suffice. -•- NOTE: This book takes place in 2008 around the fifth to sixth season of Criminal Minds. "I know our history Agent Hotchner, and it's been more than a decade we last saw each other. Judging from the photo on your desk, you have moved on, though you both are unhappy in your marriage, especially your wife." "The smile on her face, it was forced, just for this photo. Her eyes were dark. She was staring into blank space. But there's a twitch in the corner of her eyes, she was either angry or trying to take control of her emotion." Prentiss said while holding the photo. "Stop," Hotchner said. "May I say a last word, Sir?" "Yes, you may." "The only person that looks happy in this photo is your son. Please do anything you can to shield him from the darkness of this world." Prentiss said, with a grim expression. --CM-- Emily Prentiss's journey from Doyle's mission to her transfer to the BAU in Quantico. Slight Hotchniss. Follows closely to Criminal Minds original but with a slight twist and own plot-part of the AU: Indestructible. Can be read on its own. Disclaimer: I do not own Criminal Minds.
