"Can't you see what you're doing to me?" Alexandros softly whispered. Gone was his humorous tone, in its place was timid voice. One she had yet to hear. "How badly I want and desire you."

"Your majesty." Nephtalie stammered. Her cheeks hot and flushed. "Surely you jest."

Her voice drowned out as they locked eyes. His gaze intense with a fiery passion in his eyes. The way he looked at her made a chill run down her back. That look of desire stopping her in her tracks.

"Would you like to find out?"

----

Life as the illegitimate daughter of the king was one filled with sorrow. Each new day brought down more hardships for Princess Nephtalie. Freedom was all she could think of. Freedom from this hell she was brought to. Freedom from it all.

When the chance to escape her mistreatment comes before her in the form of a marriage agreement, freedom may not be too far out of reach. Is this truly the answer to all her prayers or is this the new chapter of her hell?
