This is Katherine Sharpe. Her father died when she was 7 and her mother abuses her for unknown reasons. But that's not all her and her 'mother' move constantly. So Katherine never expects anything out of the ordinary to happen. Just waiting for the day she turns 18 so she can move out.

When moving again a tall, dark, mysterious/ smirking stranger called Ian takes notice of Katherine and things change. Her and Ian grow close but the closer they grow the more secrets and new worlds Katherine  discovers.

As things at home begin to deteriorate too, Caleb’s situation goes from bad to worse. The only person who knows the truth, Dr Palmer, leaves him to stand on his own two feet, declaring him cured. He starts back at college full time, and becomes ever closer with Stephanie, the only person whom he feels that he can trust. When his own father attacks his mother, Caleb begins to think that the police are on to him, trying to unravel his past, thinking that they have realised what happened to cause him to try to commit suicide. However, they are just trying to build a case against his father. In desperation, Caleb tried to reach out to Dr Palmer, against the advice of his mother. As his life spirals out of control, Dr Palmer makes him realise that the only way he can carry on is to come clean and reveal his secret. Emily finally turns 18, and they go camping out in jakes woods. Emily gets taken in the night by a stalker, and Jake comes to the rescue.When Jake goes out to find Emily, the stalker tries to kill Emily and Jake is in hot per suit to find her and make her safe again. When Jake kills the stalker, he ends up killing himself too, and now Emily can only see him in her dreams. Now, she has to handle a lot more than his house and herself while he's gone because of there little camping trip.
