The Girl Next Door

Matthew James and Ridley Fredrickson have lived next to each other their lives. Not only that, but they have been forced to interact on almost a daily basis since their mothers are childhood friends. In the past, this has not been a problem. However, as they get older, Matthew wants to leave Ridley behind and go out just with his friends for once. This is fine with Ridley. She would rather spend time in her room getting lost in her books. However, when Ridley graduates high school and attends the same college as Matthew, something changes. At least for Matthew. Ridley is no longer the quiet girl in the corner of the room, but the loud, confident woman who always finds a way to get what she wants. Only problem, it seems Ridley wants to keep their relationship as almost non-existent. How do you convince the girl you spent so much time trying to forget about that you are the hero she reads about?
