Brooklyn Hill Mysteries is a non-fiction thriller-mystery novel about Jenette, a mother of two daughters, Eleana, the youngest and Darla, the oldest, who moved from their old city home to their new house in a small secluded town hidden by thick trees and mountains. The year is 1998. The town's color palette is dark and depressing, nothing but grays and black, it's always foggy and there aren't many cars that drive around. Jenette found herself moving to Brooklyn Hill to get away from her life in the city and to help connect more with her daughters after the disappearance of her husband, Clinton. Or that's what their mother says, at least. He was last heard of going to this town for a business meeting. but, he never returned. Jenette never told her daughters that he was last seen here. She says that moving here is for the best right now and she thinks it will be a good change for them, but is it really? Their new home is an old 2-story house, it's been recently renovated but still has its old touch to it. Jenette stumbles upon a covered door under her staircase on her first night there. Considering how cheap it was, she should have suspected something. But since it was due to short notice, she gratefully handed over her money. During their time staying in the house and moving to Brooklyn Hill, weird things start happening around the girls' school, at Jenette's new job, and around their seemingly peaceful home. Even Jenettes' daughter, Eleana starts engaging in weird behavior. The whole town seems to be acting weird since they moved there. Maybe the townspeople know something they don't? Maybe they just don't like newcomers into their conservative town? Or maybe, they're trying to cover up something... Will Jenette be able to find out what happened to her husband and save her daughters from this towns dark past? Or will more people go missing in the process? . . .
