Ellie VanGordon, daughter of a prestigious writer who has been said to be the founder of the modern era of writing, attends Crestwood Academy, which is an Academy founded to try and build a good foundation for the most prestigious writers. After being accepted into the Academy she makes her way to the top of her class. However, James Weiss, ranked second in Ellie's class, is only attending the academy since his mother is a sponsor of the academy. He's only climbed to the second best placing by cheating his way up there. Once Ellie finds out how he's truly gotten into the Academy, she is determined to not only let him not surpass him in the class rankings, but also to expose his cheating. Along the way she ends up developing feelings for him, but does she choose love or her integrity.
