This story is a "what if" Kaitou Kid died during a heist.
The final heist where he found Pandora and reached his goal, but had to pay with his own life.
It concerns about how the people close to him would react, such as his childhood best friend Aoko Nakamori, her father, inspector Nakamori, who tried to catch Kid for 18 years, and his mother Chikage Kuroba.
But it's not only the tragic news of Kaito Kuroba passing away. It's also the reveal he'd been the Phantom thief all along.
How will they react? How would it impact their lives and...
Will they understand Kaito's criminal alter ego he'd been hiding from them?
