High School student Aria Lewis can't remember a time when she wasn't gliding through the waters. Between juggling her homework, school and rather messy love life, she found swimming a break from the hectic pace. Until, of course, tragedy strikes. After a near-death experience, her overprotective parents won't let her anywhere near the turbulent, unpredictable waters. Aria's life is ruined. The one thing that held her in place is now out of reach.
Aria longs for something more interesting to happen in her dull life. What she doesn't expect is for her small town to become the centre of a murder investigation. A girl from her school is found dead, her body washed up from the ocean. The case is closed with the conclusion that she must've drowned. But Aria believes otherwise. When more bodies are found on the shore, she's determined to get to the bottom of this mystery. As she gets more tangled in this web of darkness, she realises that something extremely shady and sinister is going on, and that she might just be the next to die.
This dark debut follows the story of a completely normal girl as she begins to uncover secrets far bigger than what she could imagine, and, as she learns that what lies beneath is something that's best left hidden.
