"Truth makes us inextricable..."

When Sage Stronghold wakes up in the Dauntless Compound's hospital, he's stunned to learn that his entire world has changed overnight. Having survived an attempt on his life, one which no one seems willing to speak about, he comes to realize that he's lost more than a year of memories; from Candor to Dauntless, he's about to find out what kind of path he's been set on.

Though initially everything seems faultless, he soon learns that his new life comes complete with secrets, schemes, and conspiracy. The more he uncovers about the mysteries surrounding him, the more chinks start to appear in his apparently perfect existence. Then, when visions from his old life begin to resurface -and a figure from the past reappears- his loyalty, physical, and mental abilities are put to the test.

His memories were erased for a reason.
And he was broken down to be transformed.
But ultimately, what's the endgame?

Following scattered recollections and clues, Sage sets off in search of answers; determined to decipher the puzzle of his last year. But in the dangerous world he lives in, he soon learns that uncovering his past may have fatal life-or-death consequences.

The truth sets you free.
But it'll come at a cost...©

{BOOK ONE} There are five factions. Each had their own reasoning for thinking why the war had happened. Dauntless; cowardice and fear. They strive to be brave, fearless. Erudite; ignorance. They strive for intellect, to be smart and curious. Candor; deception. They strive to be honest. Amity; they blamed the war itself along with fighting. They strive to be kind, forgiving, peaceful. Abnegation; selfishness. So they strive to be selfless. Dauntless are our police. Erudite are our teachers. Candor is the law. Amity are the farmers. And Abnegation are our government. I would sit on the ground everyday, wearing my yellow dress with black sandals. Wasn't the best thing for me. Dresses made my shoulders to broad, especially the flowing ones. When I was home alone, or with my mother, I would wear I tight black shirt and white shorts. No one would really approve, mostly because they were Candor colours along with the fact it's not... welcoming enough. I never understood Amity, not because of the kindness and the peacefulness; well, mostly the peacefulness. Whenever it should come down to defending ourselves or walking away. We walked away. It confused me. Maybe I wasn't Amity enough to understand. Maybe I wasn't kind enough. Maybe, just maybe, I didn't belong here. So where do I belong? A/N : First chapter is a little sketchy but that is the case with all of my books. I promise it does get a lot better afterwards Start: Feb 06 2021 End: Dec 15 2021

"So serious all the time. Ever smiled?" No reaction. "Ever laughed, warden?" Not even a tilt of lip. He simply sat there. Looking at her blandly that she was so close to getting up and shaking him to feel. To feel something. Still, she didn't give up. "Ever fucked?" A flash of something passed. It was so quick she barely registered it. "Ever cummed?" She moved closer, leaning over his desk. "Wanting to keep pounding and pounding into a tight wet cunt?" Her toes were now off the floor, her knees touching the edge of his desk and her body hovering over it. His face blank but it was those forest green eyes that gave Valora the glimpse of the animal purring inside him. She was about to say something when his mouth opened. "Wouldn't you like to know?" _ Valora Anton is a noxious trained assassin and she is running for her life. Except she didn't think she would get caught. When she is transferred to a prison house on an island in the Atlantic, she thought it was the end of the line. Only she thought wrong. ||Book 2, please read Dauntless Initiate, before reading this one. This book picks up exactly where the other one left off for Tempest|| ||I own nothing except for Tempest, all of her plotlines, and some very minor characters that won't appear very often.|| ||Set in The Son by Veronica Roth, and takes place two years or so, before the book Divergent begins.|| ||There will be some potentially triggering topics, such as underaged drinking, swearing, mentions of physical and mental abuse. You have been warned|| Tempest has officially made it into Dauntless and has left her old life, old identity, and former faction of Abnegation behind her. She has made a friend or two among the Dauntless and although she still definitely prefers to always be able to walk alone at the best of times it is clear that she has begun to slowly open up. Even if it ended up being to one of the people that used to be one of the members of the faction, that she was raised to hate, with every bone in her body. When she gets visited in her quiet apartment by Max, one of the five Dauntless leaders, she gets an offer that she was shocked to hear. Because even if she had been ranked first... who would have ever thought, that the willowy, clearly under-fed girl from Abnegation, could ever become a candidate for any faction leadership position? Let alone the faction that was mainly only just formed to protect the city around them, from any and all threats? ||Follows the events of 'The Son' by Veronica Roth and my own plotlines entirely after that. Tempest is my main character.|| ||Dauntless Series|| |Book 1: Dauntless Initiate| |Book 2: Dauntless Member| |Book 3: Dauntless Leader|
