(This was my very first story so I can acknowledge that there are some really cringy parts-aka I will be rewriting/revising very soon!) Asher King's life has revolved around putting up an involuntary mask to hide his true self. With successful parents boasting about his 'pretend' success, Asher feels as though the life he is living was never his to begin with, and a home of happiness is far out of reach. Everyone seems to love the confidence he oozes but the subtle respect he always values. However, one thing doesn't fit the agenda: he is still coming to terms with his bisexuality. After multiple encounters with the mysterious boy from the flower shop he works at, Leo soon realizes that he can't help falling for the flower boy. Can Leo find the relationship of his dreams while trying to find a future in a world that exudes masculinity? Will Asher finally find authenticity that will break him free from the marionette puppet he is staged to play?
