Before there was ever a Selene Lupin, there was a Selene Black, and even before that, there was Selene Malfoy. A Slytherin girl struggling to make all the right choices, Selene was a loner that had no hope in the future. Its been two years since the marauders have graduated. James and Lily are married with a baby on the way, and Sirius and Peter are very busy with the Order. Meanwhile, Remus is just trying to survive his transitions in such a volatile time. No one wants to hire a werewolf, and the Order isn't well enough equipped to handle the full moons. Dumbledore offers him a position at the Hogwarts library as an assistant. There he can do research for the Order, as well as spend his moons like he did during his school years.
