Based off the romance of Celie and Shug Avery from Alice Walker's The Color Purple. 
This story picks up in 1947, months after the events of the original. Celie, now in her 50s has found her voice and a new joy. All of the pieces in her life are coming together. She has her sister, she has her children and she has her faith. With Mister out the picture our Celie gets to redefine for herself what love actually looks like and wether or not Shug Avery is a part of that visual, while Shug redefines for herself what it really feels like to receive unconditional love after years of looking in the wrong places for it.All Rights Reserved
